When families with children are experiencing homelessness, one of the ways New Hope for Families welcomes them into our shelter is by supplying them with fresh clean sheets, towels, toiletries and other items they need to make this place feel comfortable, peaceful, and safe. We rely on donations of new and gently-used items to provide this important support to the families we serve.

Special Appeal: New Hope for Families would eagerly welcome the donation of a 7+ passenger vehicle.
We serve 12 families in our shelter, which (at the moment) includes 16 adults and 22 children. While they stay with us, we frequently transport families to doctor visits, job interviews, housing appointments, meetings with schools and government services, and supply runs to the grocery store. Also, and most excitingly, we are regularly moving a family and all of their belongings into their new home, two or more times every month!
We are grateful to our friends at Beacon, who have graciously lent us their 12-passenger van to use this summer. But, in the long run, New Hope needs another vehicle of our own with more than 2 rows of seats that will fit at least 7 people. If you know of anyone looking to pass along a reliable van or SUV, please point them in our direction.
