Amber Griffin

Event & Volunteer Coordinator

Amber was born and raised in Bloomington, Indiana, and has lived here her entire life. She is passionate about helping her hometown community thrive and be a wonderful place for many others to call "home."  After spending over 20 years working in higher education, Amber felt called to start a new career here at New Hope for Families, joining our staff in January 2025. Amber has years of previous experience coordinating events and volunteers within her church. At New Hope, she welcomes and trains our new volunteers, and helps plan and execute the various events that we host each year.  When Amber is not at work, she can be found curled up with a fuzzy blanket and a good book, enjoying nature with her husband and two kids, or serving alongside her church family.
